New Strings

Lollapalooza Music Festival 2014 – Santiago, Chile. I somehow ended up writing music reviews on behalf of the English speaking publication I Love Chile.

Starting with the sideshow gig of fellow Nottingham lad Jake Bugg and then moving on to Lorde and Axwell’s performances at the main Lollapalooza festival. I had no idea that they would get published and indeed my Jake Bugg piece was also used by Nottingham Evening Post back in England.

I had a great time writing them and apparently they were really well received. Amazing what you can do with a bit of time and endeavour (although I have to say writers block did set in at 2:30am in the case of the Jake Bugg review!). Although meeting Mr Bugg and his band in person was a good excuse for being up so late…

I really enjoyed the writing and I hope to get asked to do more in the future. To read the I Love Chile pieces click on the images above. For the Nottingham Evening Post review of Jake Bugg click here
